2007
  • Move into new office (including storage warehouse) in Auckland, New Zealand.
  • In June, Kurt and Willy Kober cease to run day to day business. Kurt Kober is appointed to the Board. Willy Kober continues to support the company as an independent consultant.
  • The four young business men (Roland, Harald, Raymond and Stefan Kober) are quick to create the new Board. Roland Kober is appointed as Speaker of the Board.

 

2008
  • Production site for shock absorbers is built in in Fenghua, China
  • The success story of the new silver, black and red lawn mowers begins its course. Just in time for the season, the new “Silver Range” goes into production
  • In May, Willy Kober dies at age 69
2009
  • AL-KO acquires KOVIL Oy in Finland (manufacturer of trailer couplings).
  • BRILL product division of BRILL Gloria Gartengeräte GmbH is acquired. As part of the asset deal, AL-KO acquires all trademarks as well as the complete BRILL product range
2010
  • AMS Mammut (maneuvering system for caravans) and the unique A300 Aqua Trolley are introduced
  • 20 million axles are produced
  • In summer, AL-KO will become FC Augsburg’s main sponsor
  • Numerous awards for products from all three divisions crown the year:
    • plus-x Award

    • reddot design award

    • IF product design award

    • caravaning design award: innovation for new mobility

  • AL-KO Kober GmbH in Vintl, Italy celebrates its 40th anniversary

  • Air Technology brings the innovative EASYAIR flat to market
